ARTECS Anadolu ARGE ve Tekno. A.Ş.

Türkiye

A Turkish research, development and technology SME specialised in agri-tech, IoT sensing and digital tools for farming. AR&TeCS brings experience working with farmer associations and translating field data into decision support.

Role in CropRotaM

Project Coordinator. Leads WP1 (Coordination & Multi-Actor Engagement) and WP4 (Data Backbone & Open Knowledge Portal), maintains the project website and social channels and co-runs the Turkey Living Lab with SFWRCRI.

Role in CropRotaM

Leads WP3 (Agroecological Field Trials & Performance Assessment) and the cross-project practice review (T1.4). Runs the Germany / Baden-Württemberg Living Lab on temperate wheat-barley systems with multi-species cover crops.

Italy

An Italian university with deep expertise in Mediterranean cereal systems, on-farm experimentation and agroecological crop rotations, plus an established network of women and young farmers in Basilicata.

Role in CropRotaM

Co-leads WP2 (Co-Design via Living Labs) with CREA-PB. Runs the Italy / Basilicata Living Lab (Genzano di Lucania), validating three-year cereal-legume-oilseed rotations, intercropping and microbial biostimulants under real farm conditions.

Leads WP5 (Bio-Based Inputs & Circular Amendments). Runs the Spain / Murcia Living Lab on irrigated citrus systems, testing vegetal covers, regulated deficit irrigation and residue-based amendments.

Role in CropRotaM

Leads WP6 (Carbon, Environmental & Socio-Economic Impact Assessment) and the carbon MRV / soil-aggregate modelling (RothC, CAST). Leads dissemination and communication (T7.3).

A Turkish governmental research institute for soil, fertiliser and water resources, with an extension mandate and direct links to farmers and cooperatives.

Role in CropRotaM

Leads the screening and production of microbial solutions and residue-based amendments (T5.1, T5.2). Co-runs the Turkey Living Lab on wheat-barley systems under salinity and water stress.

Centre of Biotechnology of Borj-Cedria: Laboratory of Extremophile Plants

Tunisia

A Tunisian biotechnology centre specialising in extremophile plants and saline-soil rehabilitation, with reach into North African agricultural networks.

Role in CropRotaM

Runs the Tunisia / Douz oasis-fringe Living Lab, intercropping camelina and quinoa with date-palm and applying compo-char to rehabilitate saline soils. Helps disseminate results across South-Mediterranean countries.

An Italian agri-consultancy SME with expertise in rural development, life-cycle assessment and on-farm circular-economy solutions.

Role in CropRotaM

Builds the low-cost farm-scale Compost Tea system in the Italian Living Lab and conducts the comparative Life Cycle Assessment (ISO 14040/14044) and carbon-footprint analysis. Supports farmer field days and outreach.

Greece

A Greek agri-tech SME focused on sustainable farming services, business models for smallholders and digital delivery for research projects.

Role in CropRotaM

Leads exploitation and business models (T7.4) and the socio-economic impact and adoption analysis (T6.3), and contributes to the sustainability synthesis and policy recommendations (T6.4). Mentors pilot entrepreneurs on new value chains and carbon-market pathways.
