Co-design and operationalise Living Labs
Co-create five multi-actor Living Labs across three biogeographic regions to design and implement climate-resilient cropping systems (three-year cereal-legume-oilseed rotations, durum wheat-legume intercropping and conservation tillage) with farmers, advisors and researchers as equal partners.

A unified data backbone for evidence-based agroecology
Deliver a lean, cross-site data infrastructure (protocols to sensors to hub to open portal) that supplies real-time feedback to the Living Labs and transparent, FAIR evidence to scientists, policymakers and farmers.

Rotation-driven soil fertility and circular bio-inputs
Co-design and validate two three-year rotation packages in every Living Lab, reinforced with on-farm circular inputs (composted residues, compost teas, biochar and ready-to-use microbial consortia) field-tested for yield stability, nutrient balance and soil-carbon build-up.

Evidence of climate resilience, biodiversity and sustainability
Run a cost-effective carbon MRV system and biodiversity monitoring alongside life-cycle and farm-economic analysis, building a solid evidence base that agroecological intensification improves resilience and livelihoods without sacrificing productivity.

Upscaling, policy support and business models
Scale results beyond the pilots through a replication roadmap, co-formulated policy recommendations (including CAP eco-schemes) and sustainable business models: from new quinoa and camelina value chains to carbon-credit pathways for smallholders.
